There are more than 10 long weekends this year. Do you have plans of going on a holiday but can't decide where and how you will spend it?

From the palm-fringed beaches of Indonesia, the surreal blue waters of Bali, the cultural treasures of Cambodia and the tropical paradise island of Phuket to the royal majesty of the forts and palaces in Rajasthan, the snow-kissed mountain tops of Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh and the meandering backwaters of Kerala, Asia is a treasure-trove for the discerning traveler that continues to enthrall and delight.

Holidays are not always about luxury and style; they are about the experience, about engaging with the destination and going back with not mere memories but ones stirred by the local flavours. Star gaze by a frozen lake in Leh; break bread the Indian way at a culinary class in Rajasthan; learn about the earliest known martial art form Kalaripayatu in Kerala; unwind with a sun downer at the virgin Uluwatu Beach in Bali; delve deeper into the hidden temples of Siem Reap.

Join us for high tea on the 21st of March as seasoned traveler, Uma Krishnan, unravels for us the secret getaways and escapades in India and Southeast Asia. Make the trip you are dreaming of a reality!

Among her other, more off-beat travel experiences, she was lucky to count camping under the stars in the Nubra Valley in Ladakh and cruising the Galapagos Islands, to name just a few. She loves the great outdoors and can testify to the view from the peak of Mt Kilimanjaro and Everest Base Camp in Nepal. She loves good food and wine, and some of her most memorable travel experiences have been learning the art of Peruvian cuisine in Cuzco, and spending a weekend sampling wines in Bordeaux.
